Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Taylor is a famous American actor and producer who is best famous for the roles she was in Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist as well as the TV series The Mentalist. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Brown University in African-American Studies. The Tisch school of the arts, New York University she received an MFA. Aunjanue Lisa Ellis is a producer as well as an American actor active in the theatre, television and film. Aunjanue L. Ellis started her acting career in the theater. In later years, she was a part in television programs as well as independent and mainstream film. She rose to fame as Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico as well as on BET's epic drama The Book of Negroes. Both of the roles she was praised by critics and received a variety of nominations and awards including the Television Critics Choice Award for the Best Actress. In 1995, she was the first to appear in the role of Ariel on stage as Ariel in The Tempest. Alongside Broadway's Come and Gone, she has also been featured in Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. The most recognizable part of her career is her roles in the films Men of Honor as well as The Caveman's Valentine The Express & The Help. In her television work, she has been praised for her performance as a regular character on ABC's cop drama High Incident.
